The service was very good with comfortable beds, a TV, and a lounge area in the room, and the staff were attentive and caring, providing great tips.

Location really close to a conservatory attached to the building which at night was lovely and airy, a restaurant and the central bay where all other diners were seated. Pleasant staff of the hotel. Units with comfy bed.

The hotel has a great and pleasant location right next to the museum and site. There is a conservatory attached to the building, which is lovely, especially at night. - the room is spacious and luxurious, equipped with an electronic key card, work desk, and television. - the staff is extremely polite and welcoming.

Unfortunately, the hotel did not manage our stay very well. Like every country hotel of good quality at this time of year (Spring/Summer), they have weddings and parties. We were not notified of this fact and were given rooms directly above a party with a DJ. The manager did address this with us the next day, but that didn't make up for the horrendous night's sleep in what is supposed to have been a relaxing hotel. Before booking, double check for parties. If none, I recommend the hotel. Otherwise, steer well clear if you want a good night's rest.

The gardens are lovely and the scenery is very attractive.It is an ideal hotel for a peaceful break.

The rooms are a little on the small size and our room did not have a bath, only a shower.

The food was nice. the staff were very polite. the swimming pool is great. the location is marvelous and pleasant, near a lovely conservatory, back garden, and the town center of Battle.

Liked that there was plenty to do during the day but was a bit lost at night time, you only had the option to eat or sit in the bar.

On arrival there was a barrier to entrance and no sign outside indicating "reception".

Staff were very helpful as soon as we arrived. We felt very relaxed

We were a little dissapointed that when we went to the spa there were no spare appointmtns for four days. I think the spa should leave some of their slots only available for hotel guest. A little annoying when you go to a spa hotel and you cant use the spa!

we were attending a wedding and the location and surrondings were good,

the room we paid £100 for was basic and the bath taps dripped all night. we were not allowed to book into our room until 3.00 p.m. when the wedding service was 3 p.m. we had to travel ready for the ceromony and leave the guest part way through to freshen up and check into our room, unfortunately this was when the bath tap started dripping, which continued all night. The breakfast was served in the conservatory but it was a hot morning and the plates holding the butter had completely melted.
